Teaching
I teach youth and adults at all abilities and levels. I specialize in teaching beginners and establish a solid foundation for playing using a traditional approach and emphasize note-reading from the start. For this reason, I only accept school-aged students (6 and up) who possess early reading fluency.
I offer 30 minute lessons (first year beginners only), 45 minutes lessons and one hour lessons. Lessons are available in my Palo Alto studio and via Zoom.
I am also available for short-term individual coaching in preparation for auditions or competitions. Letters of recommendation will only be written for students with whom I have worked for a significant amount of time.

When you play a violin piece, you are a storyteller, and you’re telling a story.

Coaching
My experience as an orchestral violinist in major US orchestras (San Francisco Symphony, National Symphony, Baltimore Symphony) equips me with the expertise to rigorously coach string sectionals in preparation for your upcoming performance. I am available for in-person and remote coaching. Please contact me directly.
Educational workshops
My passion is to help all ages discover the beauty and power of music. I design and present workshops in pre-K-12 schools as special presentations or within the school curriculum, such as science class. Contact me if you are interested in a solo violin or chamber group presentation.
Adjudication
I am available to serve on the adjudication panels of music festivals, competitions and school orchestra auditions. Please contact me directly.
